FairScope is a designer and manufacturer of open-source scientific instruments dedicated to the study of marine biology, with a particular focus on plankton.

FairScope was created following the enthusiasm sparked by the publication of the scientific article "PlanktoScope: Affordable Modular Quantitative Imaging Platform for Citizen Oceanography." The PlanktoScope is a microscope that enables quantitative imaging at a low cost, based on simplified technology.
